Felting Supplies Sites

So I was recently asked where I get all my cool felting supplies and roving and such.
I have a couple of main internet store I use on a regular basis.. www.joggles.com    this site is all about the arts, whether you are into felting, quilting, painting, beading , scrapebooking, etc. It has it all.
Another great site is www.tryourdesigns this site is great for felting needles you can buy them in bulk.
I purchased a set of 25 whole hand felting needles and a 50 pack assorted machine felting needles several years ago and still have not ran out.
I love all things  on www.etsy.com another great site for any supplies you just gotta have.

Those were my top three.
But othere places like Treenway Silks, Living Felt, The Woolery have fun items too. Check'em out you love them too.

Flickr Site

I added my Flickr Site to this blog so you can seee some of my other work.
I also have a yahoo group called Needle2Felt, for all fiber artists. Just a place to share our ideas, make friends and let others know how our crafts our coming along.

A few months ago I got a great big box of felting supplies, new rovings and such. I am good at coming up with clutches to make but would really like to explore some of the other ideas using felting (wet, nuno or more advanced jewelry making... techniques) Any ideas?

I am also having a really hard time coming up with a good way to store all my lovely fibers and NF supplies. I am the queen of plastic storages containers, but they are not really appealing when I have friends / family over.(Since my craft room like most of us is in my spare bedroom.) As much as I love being able to see in them, It just reminds me I really, let me say again really need to destash my stash.

My hubby says I'm a little OCD since on occasion I couldn't stay with just one craft. I like it all.
Unfortunatly, it shows in my craft room. I believe if you do lots of different crafts, you can combine them and make even more fun things. YES, I am addited. but who in the craft world is not.
Another thing... can we felt with dog bunnies... you know like dust bunnies but the ever found fur from our fuzzydog, that I can never seem to get swept up enough.

Its getting ready to storm..so I'm a little chatty today.

I was really upset to see one of my favorite Spring sweaters had a stain on the inner lower left flap.
So instead of tossing, I upcylced it with needle felting Spring flowers on the lower edge.

Not wanting to be too fussy since the classic design of the sweater should say it all, I think the small patch added some whimsy to it.

March 4, 2012

In like a lamb out like lion. Boy I sure hope so. Storms this past week were a little scary at times.
We had to close the shop I work in three times because of tornatic winds, rushing cutomers to a safe spot in our store and trying to keep everybody calm.

But today dawned bright and cold, about right for  mid south weather for March that is.

I had time this week to work on a New Felted clutch. Just debuted it on Etsy. It is called Green with Envy. You'll see why , tried it out today and it was awesome, almost didn't want to let it go.

As for life at the farm, we actually didn't make it out there this weekend, due to an illness in the family.
I kinda miss it when we are not there. I do have a pictures of the Maple syrup we made; and the process.
 Tapping the tree.
Gathering the sap. It took five gallons to make a pint of syrup.
Final product. Golden green in color, almost has a light carmel flavor, not real maply.

We may try it again, we have another week or so before it warms up too much to gain any  more sap.
If you have tryed making syrup , let me know I would love to hear from you.

Oh, before I forget, to my Felty friends I just got the latest edition of FELT magazine , it is wonderful. Lots and lots of great ideas. If you havn't heard of it it is from an Australian  group called, www.artwearpublications.com   Check it out, it is great.
talk more soon.
